Miller, MO, March 15, 2022— Music therapy has shown positive changes in ailing kids when presented to them at the hospital. The kids look happier and less anxious due to the relaxing power of musical sounds such as humming, soft music, and playing instruments. Ukulele Kids Club is a musical organization dedicated to transforming the lives of medically fragile children through music. They have partnered with Missouri-based creative movement products designers and Bear Paw Creek, for a Music Therapist Fundraiser to raise at least $2000 to help vulnerable kids.

“We are excited to announce what we have been working on for the last few months; a music therapist set consisting of miniature movement props, instruments, and books. This project brings so much joy to our hearts because we get to celebrate the healing power of music and help raise funds for Ukulele Kids Club. We look forward to having fun this month showcasing the field of music therapy and raising money for a great organization that supports music therapists,” said Janet Stephens, Founder, and Owner at Bear Paw Creek.

For most of her life, Janet has been a creator, designing creative movement products, bags, and instrument cases. She created Miss Cathy the Music Therapist Doll to celebrate World Music Therapy Day on March 1. She has also dedicated the month of March to showcasing various music therapists on her blog. The music therapist doll set sale proceeds will go to the Ukulele Kids Club to crown her efforts. Click Here To Enter.

Ukulele Kids Club was born when Corey Bergman, the founder, lost his child and volunteered to play guitar to sick children at the local hospital to cope with the loss. He and his wife Edda founded the organization after discovering the positive impact of music therapy on ailing kids. They have donated over 10,000 Ukuleles to hospitals in Canada, Colombia, Israel, England, Scotland, and other countries.

“We affiliate with music therapy programs around the world so they can identify children to receive the Ukuleles and provide music therapy sessions to achieve a variety of health needs,” said Stephanie Epstein, The President of the Ukulele Kids Club.

Supporters can contribute to the fundraiser directly or purchase creative movement products from the Bear Paw Creek shop. These products include play parachutes, drums, stretchy bands, bean bags, coloring books, music dolls, and guitar cases.
