BLTG is widely recognized for its experienced patent attorney Austin team, its knowledgeable trademark attorney Austin professionals, and its seasoned patent lawyer bench supporting innovators across industries.
Taylor brings to BLTG a strong and diverse background in patent preparation and prosecution across advanced software, telecommunications, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and mechanical technologies. Over the course of his career, he has drafted more than 75 patent applications and successfully prosecuted numerous matters before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. His work includes representing several global telecommunications, software, and insurance companies on complex patent matters.

Taylor is a Registered Patent Attorney (Reg. No. 76,058) and is admitted to practice law in Georgia. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, where he received CALI Awards for the highest achievement in Licensing of Intellectual Property and Law and Emerging Technologies. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Brigham Young University, where his engineering capstone team designed and built a wireless telecommunications signal-correcting device for a military-contracted telecom company.
Before joining BLTG, Taylor gained extensive experience at Clayton, McKay, Bailey, PC, Baker & Hostetler, LLP, and as the founder of his own legal practice. He has prosecuted patents facing complex §101/Alice, §102, and §103 issues, drafted appeal briefs, counseled in-house legal teams, and supported high-stakes IP indemnity matters. Taylor also previously externed with the United States Patent & Trademark Office, gaining valuable insight into USPTO examination practices.
Outside of his professional credentials, Taylor is an Eagle Scout, and an avid golfer, skier, pianist, and traveler.
