Nation brings over a decade of family law experience to the firm, further highlighting their commitment to offering conclusive advocacy for parents and children across the state of Alabama.

Guntersville, Alabama, February 3, 2025 — Foxtrot Family Law is proud to announce the addition of Lee Nation as Lead Counsel, strengthening the firm’s dedication to providing effective representation in Family Law cases.

Lee, a Tuscaloosa, Alabama native, brings over a decade of experience in divorce, child custody, and protection from abuse cases, making him a strong advocate for families facing legal challenges. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in 2007, he went on to obtain his law degree from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2010.

Since then, Lee has built a reputation for guiding clients through the complexities of family law with knowledge, integrity, and a client-centered approach. Throughout his life, he’s been inspired by a quote from Bart Starr which states, “The greatest lessons in life come from facing the greatest challenges.” In helping families navigate some of the greatest challenges they’ve ever faced, it is Lee’s hope that these mothers, fathers, and children he serves are able to use their experiences as inspiration for the future, and use conflict as their fuel for growth.

In addition to his extensive experience as a family lawyer, Lee is recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Social Security disability law and holds a certification to act as defense counsel in capital murder cases – a testament to his broad legal acumen and dedication to justice.

“We are excited to welcome Lee Nation to our Foxtrot Family Law team,” said Stephen Foxtrot, founding attorney of Foxtrot Family Law. “With his deep understanding of family dynamics and unwavering commitment to supporting clients through life’s toughest challenges, he will be a tremendous asset to our practice. Lee’s experience will help reinforce our dedication to advocating for clients in Child Custody, Divorce, DHR Defense, and Adoption cases.”

Beyond his legal career, Lee is deeply involved in his community. He enjoys spending time with his two children and is actively engaged in a variety of interests outside of the courtroom. He is a licensed USSF/AHSAA soccer referee, a hobbyist beekeeper, and a certified Wilderness First Responder. Lee and his children are also active members of the Episcopal Church of Nativity in Huntsville.

Lee’s arrival at Foxtrot Family Law enhances the firm’s ability to serve families throughout Alabama with a dedicated, experienced, and client-focused approach.
