Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins Reviews: Do Sugar Bear Hair vitamins work?
“After seeing SugarBearHair vitamins all over my Instagram feed for such a long time, I was so excited to finally try them out myself! The brand claims that the vitamins will make your hair longer, shinier and healthier – with proper diet and exercise, of course. My first initial reaction to opening the bottle was how amazing they smell. The taste is very sweet and the texture reminds me of those gummy Scooby Doo fruit snacks I used to eat as a kid. However, I did find that they have a bit of a weird aftertaste. It’s not terrible, but I did make sure to take them first thing in the morning so that I could brush my teeth right after. As for the results, my hair did grow over the course of the 30-day period. I started at 14 inches and was at 15 inches by the time I was done. I’m not sure if taking the vitamins actually sped up the growth process, but I’d like to think it did. Plus, the gummies are packed with a ton of beneficial vitamins to kick off my day!” — Emily Brozyna, Jr. Web Editor for Twistmagazine.com & M-magazine.com
“I decided to try SugarBearHair vitamins after I got a haircut that turned out to be a lot shorter than I had expected. The gummies tasted great and the only hard part was to remember to take them daily! At the beginning of the month, my hair was 7 in. and after a month of taking the supplements, it grew half an inch — tbh, I don’t think that it grew any faster than it normally would have. But I did notice a huge improvement in my nails! I’m vegetarian and it can be hard for me to get the right amount of vitamins needed for healthy nail growth — since I started taking the gummies, my nails have been a lot stronger!” — Emma Hernandez, Staff Writer for InTouchWeekly.com and LifeandStyleMag.com
“I’ve been curious about SugarBearHair vitamins ever since Kylie Jenner started posting about them on Instagram — and I’m not going to lie, the first time I opened up them up I felt like a celebrity. After all, famous people love taking pictures with them, and here I was, just casually opening a bottle like I’m a Kardashian. Some things to note: the gummies smell amazing, and taste so good (I had a hard time not eating more than two a day). I already have long hair, so I was less concerned with its length upon trying out these blue guys, and more focused on my pesky baby hairs! Within a month’s time, my baby hairs definitely got thicker and longer than they’ve ever been — they’re practically bang-length now! I honestly wish I could do another month of the gummies to see just how long they could get. Besides the length of the baby hairs, I didn’t notice too much of a difference in my overall hair health. But I do miss getting my daily sugar fix!” — Ginny Van de Wall, Features Director for Bauer Xcel Media
“I had high expectations for the SugarBearHair vitamins before I tried them because, well, celebrities are always raving about them! And while I will admit that they’re not the miracle gummies I was hoping they’d be, they did seem to help strengthen my hair! I have naturally thin, curly hair, and a month after taking the vitamins I noticed that when I straightened my hair and brushed through it, it felt thicker! The gummies are also super tasty and the color and look of them is cute, so remembering to eat these little guys every day wasn’t hard!” — Jen Maldonado, Senior Editor for M-magazine.com
“I really wanted to try these gummies because I’ve struggled to retain hair length for as long as I can remember. I’ve had to deal with bad trims, breakage from too much flat ironing, and of course, my snail-paced hair-growth rate. When I first started taking the vitamins, my hair measured at 7 in. Now, after finishing one month’s supply, the length is 7.4 in. While the length wasn’t substantial enough to be very noticeable, my hair and nails do feel a lot stronger. I literally haven’t broken a single nail in the past two weeks, which is a new record for me — and after I finished my most recent hair wash I didn’t hear the strands pop and snap in my comb like I usually do! One thing to note is that the gummies are very sugary, and if you have sensitive skin like I do, you should proceed with caution. I made sure to drink a lot of water while I was taking them, and was fortunate enough to avoid getting breakouts on my face, but I did experience a few breakouts on my upper arms and back.” — Nakeisha Campbell, Jr. Features Editor for Bauer Xcel Media
Want to know more? Here are some frequently asked questions about these popular vitamins.
What are the Sugar Bear hair vitamins ingredients?
These little vitamins have a lot of really good stuff in them! They contain Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B-6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B-12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Iodine, Zinc, Choline, Inositol, real berries, coconut oil, and a little sugar.
Are Sugar Bear hair vitamins vegan?
Although they are vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy, soy, hormone, and gelatin-free, the Sugar Bear hair pills, unfortunately, are not vegan-friendly because their Vitamin D is sourced from wool. Vegans abstain from animal products, including items like leather and honey, and wool comes from sheep, so it’s not vegan. There is a Change.org petition to change that, however!
What do Sugar Bear hair vitamins taste like?
If the name didn’t give it away, they’re very sweet! But if you have a sweet tooth, you should love them. They’re flavored with natural berries and are just like candy. Amazon reviewer Cal wrote, “They are super sugary and taste like you’re eating gumdrops rather than a vitamin.” Another user added, “The gummies are not chewy like gummy bears more like fruit snacks which is so much better and they taste so good and smells [sic] so yummy.”
What are the Sugar Bear Hair vitamins side effects?
Although there are no known side effects of the vitamins, you should really check all the ingredients to make sure that there’s nothing in there that you are sensitive or allergic to. The official website states that if you are sensitive to Biotin, you should consult with your doctor first, as there is 5000 mcg of the vitamin in their gummies. Although there are no confirmed side effects, some Amazon reviewers say that their skin started breaking out after taking the gummies, so it depends on your sensitivity to the ingredients.
Are Sugar Bear hair vitamins FDA approved?
According to their website, Sugar Bear hair vitamins “are manufactured in the USA in facilities that use FDA approved guidelines to ensure quality and safe products for your peace of mind.” If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should also consult with your healthcare provider first.
