Tucson, Arizona, April 1, 2024— Attorney Javier Alatorre was recently named Lawyer Of The Year 2024 by The Top 100 Lawyer Registry. A native of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Alatorre attended Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where he received a Licenciatura en Derecho, or Bachelor of Law. Later, he received his Master of Laws and Juris Doctor degrees from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. During his time in law school, he worked with the Hawaii Innocence Project and demonstrated his commitment to justice and advocacy by assisting inmates and contributing to post-conviction relief proceedings. He was admitted to the Bar in Mexico in 2004.
His extensive practical experience includes working at the Pima County Public Defender’s office, a Hawaii-based criminal defense law firm, and as a criminal Law teaching/research assistant at the University of Hawaii. Moreover, the criminal defense lawyer gained valuable experience as a clerk-intern with the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii under the Honorable J. Michael Seabright.
After relocating to Arizona, Alatorre was admitted to the state Bar in 2009 and pursued his dream of owning and managing his own practice. For nearly two decades, Alatorre Law has served Arizonans who found themselves entangled with law enforcement or engaged in civil disputes.
