I had a recent involvement that has inspired me to share an experience I had at an I Can Do It! conference by Hay House.
Secretly I only attended to hear Bruce Lipton, PhD. He shared his theories on the human bodies and how they are not controlled by our genes but rather by our thoughts and perceptions.
Fascinating! Is it true?
There were many reputable and excellent speakers in attendance, such as Kris Carr, who is thriving despite having a rare form of cancer. Through a vegan diet and lifestyle, she has turned her life around.
Another reputable author, and self care coach Cheryl Richardson, spoke about “extreme self care”.
Self Care and Love
Who would ever think that extreme self care was okay? Meaning that it’s okay to say no and create the space and time you need to replenish yourself.
Who would ever think that this ability to say “no,” could lead to a healthier you?
Iyanla Vanzant also gave an incredibly entertaining and useful talk about forgiveness.
I love attending talks like these where so many amazing people, share their stories and impart hard earned wisdom.
Gregg Braden described his experience of talking with elderly members of indigenous tribes. He asked how they could live beyond 120 years; the common denominator he discovered is simply love and compassion.
One last tidbit from Dr. Lipton: “Love is the ultimate nutrient for life”.
Our Bodies are Vitality
It was a great conference and reminded me how important it is to truly take care of ourselves — our minds, emotions, and spirits as well as our bodies.
