And why are they the best death valley lodging? Well, first of all, all of their rooms have been recently updated to offer all the comforts necessary for the weary desert adventurer. Comfy beds feature 250 thread count 100% cotton sheets. Their baths are a refreshing experience thanks to showers with new, high pressure, water-saving showerheads, luxurious soap and shampoo amenities in new waste-saving dispensers, and fluffy, 100% cotton towels. And bathrooms are updated with new mirrors and galvanized steel waste buckets, cleverly reminiscent of miners’ pails. All of their business travelers (or guests who need to access a computer) are welcome to visit the business center which offers the use of two public computers and a printer.

So after a day of Death Valley adventure, it’s time to put your boots up and relax. Are you hungry? Thirsty? Want a taste of the Old West? Enjoy a great meal and wet your whistle at their Toll Road Restaurant and Badwater Saloon, which is an authentic historical culinary event in the finest of Death Valley restaurants. Also, don’t forget to visit the Badwater Saloon, named for Badwater, Death Valley, elevation 282 ft below sea level, lets you quench your thirst with our “As big as the West” beverage selection. The saloon’s full bar includes a large selection of wine and an imaginative menu of specialty cocktails and signature western spirits. Lunch and light fare are also available.

Another great asset of Stovepipe Wells Village is that they offer 14 full-hookup RV sites for $40 per night, adjacent to the General Store. Spots fill up quickly so use our online reservations system to search for available dates. The RV fee includes access to the swimming pool and Wi-Fi access in the hotel lobby. The 190 sites are available on a first-come-first-serve basis from October through April for $14 a night. No hookups are available. Shower passes are available to campers for a nominal fee. With this pass, you will have access to the swimming pool as well.

And last but not least, whether you forgot some basic essentials or want to stop in for unique gifts, you can find what you need at their gift shop or general store. They are proud to offer a rare selection of traditional Native American crafts, handmade by members of local tribes including Shoshone, Timbisha Shoshone, Inyo, Paiute, and Washoe. Also, gas pumps are available during store hours with cash or around the clock with credit a card. Regular unleaded (87 octane) gas is provided at the lowest prices (often by a wide margin) in Death Valley.
