Our #3 searched term on our website is actually “shiny leggings” (this is after “made in the usa” and “organic clothing” searches). We sell so many different sparkle/ shiny leggings we see what sells, what our customers like and dont like. Pretty much, here in the customer service office we feel we are (ah-hem) a bit of “experts” in this shiny legging category.

Shiny Black Leggings:
Everyone needs a staple pair of shiny black leggings (especially in fall/ winter) that you can pair with an oversized sweater & boots or wear under your favorite fall dress for a thicker (and sexier looking) option than tights.
The Koral Lustrous Legging is by far our favorite bestseller when it comes to a basic black shiny legging. It is not “too sparkly” where you will notice the sheen or feel like a mermaid but different enough than a supplex/ lycra pair of black leggings that set them apart.
The rise on our best-selling legging is the “high-rise” but it really doesn’t seem very high rise. For example, Im about 5′ 6″ tall and the high rise hits me about 1/2 below my belly button. They also make a low rise which was a precursor to the High Rise and that is their basic Regular Rise Lustrous legging.
If you are shorter than 5′ 4″ or just like it to hit more of a classic lower waist then this may be your best option.

Sizing: Sizes are avail XS-XL. Most customers say these fit true to size. We also dont get many returns for sizing issues so it seems to be pretty safe to order the size that suits your beautiful bod the most.
Price: $80 for the solid colors & $88 for the prints. IMO worth every penny given how much you will wear these.
Fabric: The fabric is made from a unique blend of 85% Polyamide, 15% Xtra Lfe LYCRA® Sport. These breathe freely, dry quickly and are anti-macrobial.
Care: Machine wash cool and lay flat to dry. Like all leggings with stretch, you dont want to put them in the dryer or under high heat because it ruins the elasticity of the fabric – over time leaving you with a pair that is bigger than you planned for.

Mermaid Leggings:
Mermaid leggings really got on peoples radar a few years ago and never really went away. I mean, dont we all secretly want to be a mermaid (ammirite)!
They all have a high-rise which hits around the belly button (for an average height of 5’6″ tall).
What we love about all the Emily Hsu leggings is that most are offered in a “Sneaker Legging” which is about a 27″ inseam and will hit at your ankle area or a “Long Legging” which will be around a 31″ inseam and go around your ankles if you dont have super log legs. Both are great and both sell equally well for us. Its so nice to have those options.
Emily Hsu has been making classic mermaid leggings and matching bra tops for years and we absolutely love them. They are avail in an array of colors with sort of cryptic names so we’ll break them out below:

Metallic Sparkle Leggings:
If feeling a bit less of a “mermaid” and more of a “superhero” than Heroine Sport is your brand. They make awesome metallic leggings in different fun shades of metal like Platinum, Sliver, 24k Gold, Rose Gold and oiled Bronze.
They are great for working out in, are breathable and have a standard high-rise waistband (that isn’t too high).
Like all of our sparkle leggings the sparkle part wont rub off or lose its luster over time. Cheaper brands apply their sparkle after the fabric is made (which will lose its shine).
However with Heroine Sport (and all the sparkly leggings we sell) the leggings are made from the fabric itself. The shine is built into the weave of the fabric so it wont “rub off” as it is engrained into the fabric.
Sizing: Sizes are avail XS-XL. Most customers say these fit true to size. We also dont get many returns for sizing issues so it seems to be pretty safe to order the size that suits your beautiful bod the most.
