Oakton, VA, October 20, 2020– Rose Wellness Center welcomes our new functional medicine physician, John Reed, MD, MDiv. to our multi-disciplinary holistic medicine practice.

Dr. John, as he prefers to be called, has been practicing personalized integrative medicine for over 40 years. He graduated from the Perlman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he completed a Master of Divinity program focused on medicine and spirituality at Harvard University. While being board-certified in Family Medicine, he has national recognition and certification in Integrative Medicine, Osteopathy, Nutritional Pain Management, and Medical Acupuncture.

Dr. John enjoys helping restore and maintain patients’ well-being by focusing on comprehensive chronic illness and pain management. His vast experience and interest in using a holistic approach to treatment led him to work at an integrative clinic for wounded warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, as well as the Maryland Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical School. Dr. John has fellowships with the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. He is also certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Integrative Medicine.

Dr. John has a deep interest in the comprehensive treatment for chronic pain as well as other chronic illnesses. “I feel like my long-term patients were teaching me about the process of recovery from chronic illness as I was helping them with the new healing tools that had not been offered in my medical school training,” reveals Dr. John Reed. He specializes in chronic pain management using a combination of functional medicine, osteopathy, acupuncture, and nutrition therapies. Dr. Reed is determined to help Rose Wellness patients with this integrative approach.
