McKinney, TX, October 8, 2025 — River Ranch Educational Charities (RREC), a Dallas-based 501(c)(3), is bringing magic to the season with its annual Storybook’s 2025 Pumpkin Patch McKinney at TUPPS (The Old Grain Mill) near Downtown McKinney. The festival runs September 20th through November 2nd, transforming into a whimsical fall wonderland where families can step into their favorite stories while supporting RREC’s year-round mission to provide free and discounted services for at-risk and marginalized communities.
As one of the most beloved Pumpkin Patch Near Dallas events, Storybook’s 2025 celebration combines family fun, local charm, and community impact in one magical setting.

Program Highlights
- Train Ride: All aboard the festive River Ranch Express! Families can enjoy a scenic train ride through the grounds, giving children and adults alike a chance to take in the fall décor, pumpkins, and storybook installations along the way. Perfect for little ones who want a magical ride without the dust of the trails.
- Petting Zoo: Children can connect with gentle farm animals in a safe, interactive setting. From goats, sheep, and pigs, the petting zoo creates hands-on learning moments and lots of smiles, helping kids experience the warmth of animal companionship.
- Multiple Bounce Houses: A designated play zone with colorful bounce houses ensures plenty of high-energy fun for kids of all ages. With multiple inflatables on site, children can jump, climb, and slide in a safe, supervised area while parents relax nearby.
- Pony & Horse Rides: River Ranch’s trained staff will guide pony rides for younger children and horse rides for older kids and adults. These rides offer a one-of-a-kind chance to experience horsemanship up close and highlight the Ranch’s mission of healing through horses.
- Games Area: Carnival-style games and fall-themed challenges make the games area a must-visit spot for families. Guests can test their skills, win prizes, and enjoy friendly competition, from pumpkin ring toss to beanbag throws and more.
- Enchanted Photo Backdrops: Capture lasting memories at whimsical, storybook-inspired photo stations throughout the Pumpkin Patch. Guests can strike a pose with the Pumpkin Carriage, step through the Once-Upon-a-Time Gate, or wander into the Enchanted Forest – each backdrop designed to deliver that perfect fall family photo.
