Partial hospitalization

Partial Day Treatment for Drug and Alcohol

Sagebrush provides a partial hospitalization program customized to meet the needs of our clients. Our Partial Day program meets 6 days a week, Monday-Friday from 9 am-4 pm and for part of the day on Sundays. We design our programs to create a safe place where you will receive group therapy, individual and/or family therapy, psychoeducation, support, fellowship, and relief from the suffering addiction creates. There is a way out of addiction and a life of freedom and happiness awaits.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program

Our partial day treatment program is scheduled six days a week, providing a high level of support while still living at home or in a sober living environment.

Sagebrush recognizes that the journey of recovery is different for each person. We customize our PHP in Northern VA to meet the needs of each of our clients. Our clients participating in the Partial Day Treatment Program will meet with their primary therapist at least once per week. The frequency of additional appointments depends on your needs as our treatment plans are for you.

Partial Day treatment programs are designed to cover a variety of topics such as relapse prevention, addiction education, dual diagnosis, behavioral interventions, anger management, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, trauma, early recovery, and codependency. Our holistic approach for all of our clients includes incorporating art therapy, meditation, yoga, qi gong, spirituality, and expressive groups into our clinical programming. We utilize evidence based therapeutic interventions to assist clients in their recovery.

Our team will facilitate an open discussion group once weekly for concerned persons, separate from the client group. This group provides client support persons with education about the disease of addiction and time to process specific challenges.

The PHP Northern VA Residents Need

We facilitate a multi-family group once a week to increase family and client interactions and provide an opportunity to work together in a group setting. Group topics include:

  • Effective communication
  • Defense mechanisms
  • Relapse prevention
  • Triggers, cravings, and crisis management
  • Coping with emotions, identifying needs and early recovery plan
  • Relationship issues, including co-dependency and enabling
  • Conflict resolution
  • Rebuilding trust
  • Dual diagnosis
  • Healthy boundaries
  • Sober support networks
  • Balancing recovery with work, school, family, and therapy
