After learning about the negative effects of sugary drinks, business partners Rob Mastel and Ryan Triepke searched for beverages made with only natural sweeteners. Due to a lack of such products in the marketplace, the business partners created a line of tasty, healthy, ready-to-drink teas for friends and family.
The pair are now launching ORAC Beverages, an all-natural beverage company specializing in cold-brewed tea with no artificial preservatives, artificial flavors or dyes. This all-natural, refreshingly pure nutritional tea is being released to the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
After nearly a decade of brewing experience, they have discovered the unique process of cold brewing loose leaf tea with the cascara fruit. Cascara comes from the coffee cherry, which traditionally was discarded after the coffee bean has been harvested. Cascara has been proven to have a high antioxidant capacity. Several flavors of the loose-leaf tea have been developed since this discovery.
“Our cascara tea tastes great, and it’s great for you,” says Triepke. “It’s made with three natural ingredients and that’s it. No added sugar or artificial flavorings or colors.”
