FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Avon CT, April 14, 2020 – O’Neill’s Chevrolet Buick, a Connecticut Chevrolet Dealer, serving the greater Hartford area and Farmington Valley is adapting its business to our current global situation and using this time to prepare for the future of the automotive retail industry. While the business has had to make some tough decisions quickly and change up certain processes and procedures to meet the evolving business landscape, they are doing everything possible to not just keep their staff and customers safe, but ensure that the right changes stay in place.

Sean Sullivan, President and General Manager of O’Neill’s Chevrolet Buick, says: “Obviously we are dealing with some extraordinary circumstances but I feel that my team and I have made the best decisions we could have given the limited time we had in which to make them. I’ve seen several dealerships and dealership groups here in the state completely shut their doors until this subsides, but I’m proud to be able to keep as many team members employed as possible so people can support their families. But we’re also monitoring employee health and taking necessary precautions as needed.”

Since vehicle service and maintenance is recognized as essential business, O’Neill’s has kept it’s Chevrolet & Buick Service department open to the public and offers free pickup and delivery to its customers in an effort to keep their staff and customers safe and healthy. They are also taking extra measures to ensure safety by delivering vehicles with steering wheel covers and seat covers, as well as sanitizing the vehicle before returning to the customer.

While their showroom is closed, this Chevy Dealer in CT has been able to adjust their sales process to be handled outside of the showroom. All vehicle shopping can easily be done on the dealership’s website. Customers can begin conversations with sales associates to get clarifications on their questions, additional pictures or video walkaround, and then schedule a test drive and have a salesperson bring the vehicle to their home or office to complete the test drive.

If the customer wants to move forward with the sale, O’Neill’s staff are available and ready to assist via email, phone, text or any platform of communication the customer feels most comfortable on. All paperwork can be finalized through phone, or email (read: electronically) and the vehicle will be delivered to the customer’s home fully cleaned and sanitized. “We realized that what is going on today has completely reshaped how consumers expect to engage in commerce so we are welcoming the change and ready to assist.” Said Sullivan.

People are encouraged to view available new Chevrolet & Buick inventory as well as quality pre-owned vehicles on the dealership’s website at https://www.oneillschevybuick.com. A test drive can be easily arranged on the site or over the phone. New vehicles are added to the inventory on a regular basis, so people should check back frequently.
