Dr. Brackett, along with other top researchers and best-selling authors, headline two-day event with all profits donated to support social and emotional learning programs at underserved schools
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Francisco, CA – July 22—Today Oji Life Lab announced details and speakers for its Emotional Intelligence 2020 online conference, to be held on August 11-12. The event, which will be held entirely online, will include sessions from top researchers and best-selling authors focused on “thriving in the new normal”, an exploration of the latest topics and trends in emotional intelligence as well as issues that will confront all of us in 2020 and beyond.
Marc Brackett, Founding Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Author of Permission to Feel, will kick off the conference as well as host engaging sessions with inspiring headliners, including:
- Sigal Barsade, Ph.D., The Wharton School
- Heidi Brooks, Ph.D., Yale School of Management
- Angela Duckworth, Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania and author of Grit
- Dacher Keltner, Ph.D., UC Berkeley and author of The Power Paradox
- Robin Stern, Ph.D., Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and author of The Gaslight Effect
“Emotionally, this year has been especially challenging for all of us,” said Dr. Marc Brackett. “This conference is an opportunity to help a broad audience understand their emotions and discover tools to better adapt to our new normal. It is also an opportunity to raise money to help students at underserved schools develop these important skills.”
Presented by Oji Life Lab, the conference program includes two half-day programs that will be streamed live and can be joined from your computer, phone, or tablet. Each attendee will receive a free copy of Marc Brackett’s acclaimed introduction to emotional intelligence, Permission to Feel, as well as other included benefits.
“As a society, our need for emotional skills has exploded this year,”, said Matt Kursh, CEO of Oji Life Lab. “Expanding our existing e-book and webinar programs to a full conference, in partnership with our co-founders Marc Brackett and Robin Stern, makes so much sense. If these conversations can launch people on path to gain new skills, then it’ll be a huge success,” he concluded.
At an Early Bird price of just $29 (50% off), the registration fee includes an all-access pass to the live sessions and unlimited access to recordings of all sessions. All profits will be donated to support social and emotional learning programs at underserved schools. To learn more about the event and register visit https://go.ojilifelab.com/ei2020.
