FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Riverdale, GA, Oct 29, 2021 – nMotion Physical Therapy, previously known as nMotion Hand and Physical Therapy, was founded in Alpharetta, GA, in 2007. Co-founders Kevin Roulhac, OT, CHT, and Kirk Stewart, PT, decided to create a rehab environment that was patient-focused, fun, and provided quick, effective results. In 2011, nMotion opened a second location in Woodstock, GA. The journey has been filled with many unexpected challenges (including the recent COVID pandemic) yet the practice has continued to grow, attracting patients from all over. In 2020, a third location was added in Marietta. In their efforts to help as many people as they can in overcoming pain and/or injury, nMotion has opened their newest location in Riverdale, GA.
Their team of expert therapists and support staff has one goal – the patients’ RECOVERY. Although nMotion is a preferred physical therapy provider for many physicians and medical practices, they can also be directly accessed without a referral from a doctor.
When it comes to physical therapy in Riverdale GA, most of the patients who go to nMotion Physical Therapy are in some degree of pain when they arrive. According to Kevin Roulhac, President of nMotion, “We wanted to bring our brand and style of physical therapy to an area of metro Atlanta that is underserved in this type of care. Our motto is ‘Your Rehab. Our Passion.’ We want each patient to feel like he or she is our only patient and has our full attention. We work with providers closely to ensure our plan of treatment is in line with their plan of care leading to successful outcomes of less pain, more range of mobility and increased strength.”
Initially, physical therapy treatments are geared towards education, reducing inflammation, and decreasing discomfort. nMotion therapists and staff spend time with their patients educating them on their injury and what they can expect. They utilize modalities including, heat, ice, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound to help reduce discomfort. Manual therapy, such as massage and gentle mobilization, are also frequently employed to treat and decrease acute pain. nMotion’s approach to physical recovery is knowing each patient, along with their goals, and setting up an individual plan that is designed to reduce pain, maximize mobility and restore function.
nMotion therapists are highly trained and many have obtained certification in specialty types of treatment. All participate in ongoing continuing education to provide better and more effective care to their patient. Services offered include but are not limited to the following:
- physical therapy
- work hardening
- dry needling
- kinesio taping
- sports rehab
- fall prevention
- manual therapy
At their new location in Riverdale, GA, they also provide Work Injury Rehabilitation. By creating a customized therapy program tailored to specific injuries, nMotion therapists assist in the recovery of patient function and body mechanics and reduce the chances of future injury. Depending on the type of injury, programs that may be utilized consist of back and neck safety education, work conditioning, personalized exercise plans, body mechanics assessments, and ergonomic assessments.
