The round was led by Rsquared Investment, a strategic backer of Southeast Asia’s AI recruiting platform Bossjob. The company’s previous $2.5M seed round was led by LongRiver Investments, with participation from Fengshion Capital and a group of senior tech executives – reflecting a broader shift in venture capital toward AI companies that pair technical capability with proven enterprise revenue and measurable business outcomes.
Alongside the fundraise, the company is rebranding from OpenJobs AI to Metix AI. “Metix” derives from Metis, the ancient Greek idea of practical intelligence-the ability to turn knowledge into action, navigate complexity, and deliver real-world outcomes. The shift reflects a fundamental change in product philosophy: from building tools that assist human recruiters, to deploying an autonomous agent that directly delivers hiring outcomes for enterprises.
From Software to Autonomous Recruiter
At the center of that shift is Mira, Metix AI’s flagship AI recruiting agent.
