Saudi Arabia, December 13, 2022— The capital, Riyadh, hosted the PMO (Project Management Office) Summit in its first edition, which was organized by the Project Management Institute in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics for Roads Affairs, Eng. Bader Al-Dalami, which was held at the Fairmont Hotel Riyadh coinciding with the International Day of Project Management. To highlight the importance of project management offices in achieving the Kingdoms vision 2030 and their important and effective role in controlling costs and improving the quality and efficiency of projects and programs for organizations and institutions in order to achieve their strategic objectives.

The summit gathered under its roof a group of experts and leaders in project management and its offices from the public and private sectors locally and globally to discuss the best methods, methodologies and practices in the program and project management offices, which increases their effectiveness and pivotal role in the success of the organizations project portfolios and achieving their strategic goals.

The summit also provided opportunities for its attendees to communicate and share knowledge and experiences among hundreds of those interested in project management and its offices, which contributes to activating the role of the profession and its impact in our beloved kingdom.

Meissa was invited as a keynote speaker entitled to be a technology expert at the PMO Summit with the topic of Digital Transformation Journey of Construction Technology for Project Management. During the speech, Rachel Soomee Cho (Chief Business Officer, Meissa) said digital transformation journey through smart construction technology is a process of continuous improvement for cost effectiveness, risk management (smooth execution) and delivery on time which are the key pillars to be in mind when tackling major issues related to project management. She said in Saudi Arabia where it has multiple mega construction projects, it is vital to head start implementation of emerging technologies as early as possible.

Meissa took off its global business development initiative from early this year. In Saudi Arabia, Meissa successfully takes a headliner role as a digital transformation leader in the construction industry and will move the initiative forward in the region further on, according to Rachel Soomee Cho (Chief Business Officer, Meissa).
