The massive, $35 million investment Hilton Hotels & Resorts is making in the Hilton Houston North Hotel is an example of the tremendous attention the North Houston District is drawing on the basis of its location, infrastructure, and market resources.

Houston, TX – Hilton Hotels & Resorts is making a huge investment in the future of North Houston. The global hotel brand is in the middle of a $35 million makeover of Hilton Houston North, which includes an overhaul of all four hundred and eighty guest rooms, the 18 thousand foot ballroom, and the massive, forty thousand foot lobby.

“Not many hotels have the footprint we have,” says Richard Sutter, the complex’s general manager, “and we want guests to enjoy a broader experience throughout their stay.” The refurbished lobby will be home to a new tech center, an experiential bar and lounge, and a massive new Starbucks.

Hilton’s investment in the hotel is one more example of the type of urban development the North Houston District, which is already home to some of Houston’s most prominent companies, has drawn.

With an exceptional location in close proximity to all of the region’s major transportation arteries and only eight miles from George Bush Intercontinental Airport, the district is positioned strategically to provide businesses with local, regional and global access. There’s also exceptional broadband infrastructure and land available for new development and redevelopment, which means projects can be undertaken in a cost-effective manner.

The area is already well represented by the Energy, Logistics, Technology and Manufacturing industries, with more new businesses being attracted all the time, as detailed in the organization’s information on North Houston updates
