Annapolis, MD, February 11, 2025 — Evans Law is pleased to announce the addition of Caterina Sorrento as associate attorney with the firm. Caterina began working with the firm more than three years ago as a law clerk until she passed the bar exam and acquired her Maryland law license. She worked as an Associate at Evans Law until December 2023.  She has decided to return!

Before attending law school, Caterina earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice from Stevenson University and began her career as a government contractor for the Department of Defense. She went on to attend the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and finished in the top 6% of her class.

During her Three-plus years with Evans Law, Caterina acquired extensive experience and expertise in carrying out transactional and litigation matters in real estate, construction, and land-use law. These are the firm’s core practice areas, and Caterina’s in-depth knowledge in these areas will be a great asset to the firm going forward.

Since being admitted to the Maryland Bar, the real estate attorney jumped at the opportunity to give back to her local community by doing pro bono work for the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance. As an advocate for equal access to justice for all, Caterina is grateful that Evans Law shares her commitment to the betterment of the Annapolis community and the justice system as a whole.

“Caterina decided that the timing was right to rejoin Evans Law. Caterina was a valued team member and was missed during her absence, so we are glad to have her back.  Recent staff changes at the Firm have put Evans Law in a strategic position  and Caterina decided it was the right time to make the move back,” said Matthew S. Evans III, founder of Evans Law. “We are very proud of the work she has done for us over the past couple of years, and know she will be a strong part of the team. We look forward to great things from Caterina in the years to come.”
