Captions, a new Miami-based company, is launching a line of removable cap accessories that can make your favorite hat as expressive as you are. Captions can be attached to any hat within seconds. They allow wearers to support sports teams, first responders, charities, fundraising campaigns, and more. Founder Daniel Yanes has set up a Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 to cover the molding costs for the initial line of 15 cap accessories. Donors can get some of the very first Captions, a company t-shirt, or design their unique Caption — all depending on their funding levels. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MIAMI, FL — June 1, 2020 — Your caps can now be as expressive as you are with a new product out of the Sunshine State called “Captions.”
Captions are removable accessories that clip on an existing cap to customize a new design or message. They attach to eyelets or side panels in seconds so hat wearers can celebrate an important event, raise awareness about a cause, or show support for their favorite sports team.
“The uses for Captions are limitless,” Daniel Yanes, founder of Captions. “Besides the obvious instances where it can be used by fans on game day or for major celebrations, charities and non-profits can also use them for fundraising. Businesses will be able to promote their brands in interesting, creative ways.”
Yanes is so passionate about Captions he sold his tutoring business and invested a significant amount of his own money to get the company started. He’s now launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise $10,000 to cover the molding costs for the initial line of 15 cap accessories.
“Anyone who contributes to the campaign can receive one of the very first Captions or a brand t-shirt, depending on their funding levels and the rewards they choose,” said Yanes. “At the top contribution level, people can even design their very own unique Caption.”
One of the 15 Caption designs he’ll be launching is in honor of First Responders. Other themes include sports, American patriotism, animals, charity, and candidate support for the 2020 U.S. presidential election. But, these accessories can also extend to television characters, books, school spirit, hobbies, or more.
There are currently several cap accessories online to choose from, including Fire Trucks and Flags with Eagles. They show off a variety of special interests and Captions t-shirts are available for purchase as well.
“As unique fashion accessories, Captions open a new outlet for self-expression, and add great variety to a wardrobe,” said Yanes.

As a teacher and owner of a tutoring center and summer camp for kids, Daniel Yanes was inspired to create Captions by the students in his life that face special challenges. During this period, he had the honor of being asked by students and parents to attend many walks, runs, and fundraisers to support them in the fight for better health. Daniel has been an active member of the community and has helped thousands of children and adults excel in academics. He has dedicated his entire career to helping others, and hopes that Captions will further inspire others to achieve success and pursue their dreams. Learn more at whatsyourcaption.com.
