Canada’s largest appliance retailer acquires North Shore store

Vancouver, BC (April 9, 2020) – National appliance retailer Coast Appliances has acquired one of North Vancouver’s longest-standing appliances stores, Colony Appliances. The acquisition brings the total number of Coast locations across Canada to 17 and solidifies the company’s place as the country’s go-to appliance retailer.
“We are thrilled to now have a presence on the North Shore,” says Coast Appliances CEO Gord Howie. “Colony has been in this community for a long time, and it’s a brand North Shore residents have come to rely on and trust. We’ve decided to honour that longevity and stick with the Colony name.”
The 6700 square foot Colony store has been part of the North Vancouver retail space since 1969. The location has long been associated with quality service, excellent value, and great selection, all traits integral to the Coast Appliances brand.
Colony carries many of the well-known brand names that Coast has become famous for, including KitchenAid, Miele, Whirlpool, Samsung, Wolfe, and Sub Zero. This location also features other great designer brands like AGA, BlueStar, and La Cornue.
“At Colony, we have an excellent selection of some ultra-high-end brands that aren’t readily available at other appliance and box stores in the lower mainland,” says Howie. “But aside from this, customers can expect to see the same excellent service they’ve become accustomed to at all Coast locations.”
Colony Appliances is located at 1075 Roosevelt Crescent in North Vancouver.
