Appointment Continues Rapid Executive Buildout as Firm Scales Investment Platform Across the Sunbelt and Mountain West
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — April 14, 2026 — Chartwell Capital Partners, a Utah-based real estate investment and development firm, today announced the appointment of Randy Sutton as Chief Investment Officer. The hire follows last month’s addition of Bryce Tabb as Chief Operating Officer, continuing the firm’s rapid buildout of an institutional-caliber leadership team.
As CIO, Sutton will lead investment strategy through disciplined deal sourcing, underwriting, and execution while overseeing portfolio performance, capital allocation, and relationships with capital partners.

Sutton joins Chartwell with nearly a decade of institutional real estate experience spanning acquisitions, asset management, financings, and dispositions. He most recently served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Sunstone Two Tree, where he directed more than $100 million in multifamily acquisitions across 800+ units and helped oversee a diversified portfolio exceeding $650 million, comprising 2,500+ multifamily units across 12 build-to-rent and conventional assets, as well as office and industrial properties nationwide.
Prior to Sunstone, Sutton was at Bridge Investment Group, where he focused on underwriting, acquiring, and managing more than $380 million in multifamily investments across 5,200 units and supported dispositions exceeding $238 million, with a concentration in value-add and workforce housing strategies across the Western United States.
Sutton holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Real Estate emphasis from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management.
