Presented by Marrone Law Firm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Feb. 24, 2020) — On the evening of Monday, November 18, 2019, one of Philadelphia’s most successful and elite fundraisers, Fashion Touchdown 2019, occurred at the Fillmore in downtown Philadelphia. This prominent charity event has been raising funds for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region for the past six years, and it was, once again, hugely successful.

Since Fashion Touchdown’s inception in 2013, attendance at the event has grown beyond expectations with this year’s event yielding over 1,200+ people in attendance and raising over $1.5 million in gross proceeds over the last 3 years benefitting the ever so deserving youth of Philadelphia through its donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region.

The star-studded evening kicked off with a high-energy VIP Party featuring the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders, photo ops, live music, and meet and greets with the fashion models, Eagles players, and event sponsors. Guests could also enjoy a DJ as well as incredible food, drinks, and cocktails provided by Brûlée Catering and event sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

The main event emceed by FOX 29 Good Day Philadelphia co-anchors, Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley saw many of the top Eagles’ players, as well as their mentoring matches and even and their partners, hit the runway looking their very best. There were also incredibly talented artists in attendance, who engaged in live art by creating paintings during the VIP event, and a live auction to give participants a chance to bid on items and experiences not found anywhere else.

Similar to past years, the live auction featured signed players jerseys, a custom suit experience with Malcolm Jenkins by Damari Savile, and on-site player meet-and-greet opportunities. There were also several featured once-in-a-lifetime experiences, such as a private dinner with Carson Wentz, a custom-made golfing with Brent Celek and Eagles Head Coach, Doug Pederson, and a trip to attend 2020’s Paris Fashion Week including flight and accommodations just to name a few.

As the event founder and one of its most dedicated sponsors, the Marrone Law Firm has been instrumental in driving Fashion Touchdown to meet its goals year after year. Fashion icon and female clothing curator Joan Shepp put together a design collaboration that would make anyone envious, and the hair and makeup for female runway participants were taken care of by the internationally celebrated Anastasia of Beverly Hills and for the gentlemen DAPR Grooming Parlour created their hair looks. The event featured customs-made men’s suits by Damari Seville (owned by Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins) that were dapper, crisp and tailored to perfection.

The Fashion Runway featured current Eagles’ players, including Malcom Jenkins, Jalen Mills, Rodney McLeod, Vinny Curry and Kamu Gruger-Hill as well as former star players, Connor Barwin, Todd Herremans, Jason Avant and A.J. Feeley. Many of the players were also joined on the runway by their partners, who donned jaw-dropping styles carefully crafted by Joan Shepp for the event.

After Fashion Touchdown 2019’s conclusion, Marrone Law Firm scheduled and held their Thank You Dinner Party on January 8, 2020, at the legendary Osteria in Philadelphia to express gratitude to players, event partners and other volunteers. The event’s atmosphere was light and celebratory due to the tremendous success of Fashion Touchdown 2019’s fundraising efforts, as well as a spectacular performance by the Eagles for the 2019 NFL season. Current and former Eagles in attendance included Malcolm Jenkins, Ronald Darby, Todd Herremans, AJ Freeley, and Rodney McLeod. Other featured guests included U.S. Women’s Soccer Champion Heather Mitts, the Regional President of Live Nation Geoff Gordon, Michell Miller Founder and CEO of 2020 Creative, Brigette Lutz the Director of Marketing and PR for Marrone Law Firm, Joseph Marrone, Founder of Marrone Law Firm as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters CEO Marcus Allen.

This event, through its partnership with BBBS, aims to provide a direct and positive impact on the youth of Greater Philadelphia.
