Portland’s beloved Anatomy Tattoo has relocated to a new space on NE Broadway and invites the community to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Portland, OR, September 29, 2025 — Anatomy Tattoo, a staple of Portland’s tattoo community since 2003, is celebrating its relocation with a grand opening party on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 5:00-10:00 pm at its new home, 3021 NE Broadway St. The event welcomes the community to explore the space, meet the artists, and enjoy a day of art, food, drinks, connection, and celebration.

The move represents much more than a change of address. For Anatomy Tattoo, the new location embodies resilience, creativity, and inclusivity.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors in this new space,” said Tomma, owner of Anatomy Tattoo. “When our lease ended, we chose to buy a building so we could shape every detail. We have more light, more room, and yes, actual climate control. We’re excited to welcome both longtime and new Anatomy artists, and to share the studio with our neighbors Dahlia Wax Collective and Murdernaps, creating a warm hub for the community in a historic, 100-year-old home.”

The grand opening celebration is designed as a family-friendly neighborhood gathering. Guests can tour the studio, connect with artists, and enjoy activities centered on art and community. A highlight of the evening is the Abra Ca Dabra Pinball Tournament (Gottlieb, 1973), running from 6-7 p.m. Entry is $1 per play, with unlimited attempts. The top four scorers will advance to the finals for a chance to be crowned the Anatomy Tattoo Pinball Champion.

“Tattoos tell stories, but the studio is where those stories begin,” said artist Anne Morando. “This new space gives us the ability to create in a way that feels even more personal, and it allows our clients to feel part of something bigger than just the tattoo they receive.”

Anatomy Tattoo is known for its blend of Walk-In Tattoo Shop services and fully customized designs. The team’s expertise ranges from fine-line and botanical work to bold traditional and black-and-gray pieces, making the shop a destination for both first-timers and collectors.

The new building also houses two complementary beauty providers:

  • Dahlia Wax Collective – An inclusive, body-positive salon offering gender- and body-neutral waxing, facials, pedicures, nail care, and lash/brow services.
  • Murdernaps – Creative color lash extensions with more than seven years of experience and lash-specific certifications.

Accessibility Note: The building is a historic converted house. Accessible services and entry are available at the basement level where Dahlia Wax Collective is located. The main Anatomy Tattoo studio currently requires stairs and is not fully accessible.

Beyond tattooing, Anatomy Tattoo continues to play a teaching role in the industry through the Anatomy School of Tattoo, which provides advanced training for future professionals while prioritizing ethical and inclusive practices.

The studio also brings its artistry outside the shop with “Hire Anatomy Tattoo Artists for Your Event.” This offering allows clients to hire tattoo artists for weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private parties, where live tattooing becomes part of the celebration.

While the grand opening marks a milestone, the team views it as more than a celebration of new walls. It’s a thank-you to Portland for more than 20 years of support and a promise of continued artistry and inclusivity.

Neighbors, longtime clients, and newcomers alike are invited to attend the event and be part of Anatomy Tattoo’s next chapter.
