Attorney Megan Rae joined the firm earlier this month and brings 20 years of experience to further champion client service and success.
Golden, Colorado, December 1, 2024 — New Leaf Family is thrilled to welcome Megan Rae, a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience, to their team. Known for her unwavering dedication and sharp legal insight, Megan brings a wealth of knowledge and a proficient skill set that strengthens the firm’s mission to empower clients to make the best decisions they can for themselves and their families, and use conflict as fuel for growth.
Her addition signals a powerful expansion of New Leaf Family’s commitment to delivering exceptional, compassionate support and client-centered legal representation for individuals throughout the area. In fact, Meg values empathy and advocacy as her top priorities. She considers it a great honor and responsibility to help people when they need help the most and wants her clients to trust in her representation, feel in control of their decisions, and be empowered to build the best possible life ahead.
Meg can also relate to what her clients are going through on a personal level, having gone through a complicated and challenging divorce herself. But surprisingly, family law was not her first calling. After graduating from the University of Maryland with honors in 2004, Meg – a Connecticut native – began her career as a paralegal with Freeman & Freeman, where she assisted on complex patent and trademark litigation matters and class action claims.
After moving to Colorado for law school, she attended the evening program at the University of Denver while she worked for Recht & Kornfeld, assisting on both civil and criminal cases. Following her admission to the Colorado Bar in 2009, the divorce lawyer devoted her career to helping family law clients in private practice, but as of now, calls New Leaf Family home.
Says Rae, “It is an absolute gift to work with such a skilled and passionate team and I know my clients will feel enhanced by New Leaf’s culture, support, and advocacy.”
In both her professional and personal life, Meg remains inspired by her three amazing children, as well as her golden retriever and four cats. She loves surfing, snowboarding, and cooking, and is also the founder of Yoga Olas in Salida, Colorado where she continues to guide yoga classes, lead retreats, and train teachers.
