They are a family united for the greater good of their customers. Mary Jo, originally from Kansas, moved to Indiana to join her daughter, Melanie, and son-in-law, Jayson, with hopes of starting a new business venture. Mary Jo, a nurse and previous business owner brings so much charisma, compassion, and joy to this trio. Her daughter Melanie is a challenge seeker and empath who worked as a social worker and therapist for the Department of Child Services, a mental health agency and a school. Jayson, Melanie’s husband, is a former state trooper. Jayson was born in Germany, lived in Pennsylvania, and served in the US Army. This dynamic trio is unstoppable.
When they aren’t working you will likely find this team doing DIY projects, decorating cakes, at Comic-Con in costumes or at an escape room experience challenging themselves to no avail. This team is extremely passionate about Kansas State, Penn State, and Kansas City Chiefs football. They have a 3-year-old toddler named Kaylee who is the center of their world and always in the center of all the excitement in this household.
Because of their backgrounds and desire to start a new business, a consultant introduced them to Spaulding Decon as it seemed like a perfect fit. They loved the fact that Spaulding was a full-service restoration company with a real estate component and loved the idea of servicing customers at their most vulnerable. Melanie is a huge asset to many of her customers because of her background in social work and therapy. She has a special place in her heart for her hoarding customers and never misses an opportunity to be empathetic and caring. This team is keen on following up with customers, providing additional resources, and creating lasting relationships with them. “You will get a level of care from us that you won’t necessarily get from other companies. Other companies do similar jobs to Spaulding Decon but we are a full-service company and more, going above and beyond always”, said Melanie.
